Would anyone happen to know of any theatres showing a performance of Macbeth this side of Christmas? I googled to no avail and I have 2 very eager 5th and 6th year groups dying to see it!

The Everyman Palace - they have a Shakespeare week every November. Generally excellent productions. Hope this helps:

I should add that they tend to sell out quite quickly. We booked ours at the beginning of the year. The company do many more shows throughout the year, but Cork is the only place doing Macbeth before Christmas. The Helix are only showing 'The Merchant...' and 'Romeo...'

Second Age usually do whatever play is on for the LC but since they did Macbeth last year they seem to be focussing on Romeo and Juliet and Merchant of Venice -not a bad idea as the poor JC classes don't often get to the theatre......but not much help to the 5th years this year though.

Thank you both for the info! I'll get onto the Everyman tomorrow to see if I can squeeze my groups in.

There is a production by second age in the Helix in Dublin in November. Brought our students last year and it was fantastic!
