Anyone know what was happening last night? Got off the train and there were about 3 Garda cars in the train station. The missus was in the car and said there was some sort of protest outside one of the cafe's on Railway Street.

It was the official opening of Fumbally Exchange Balbriggan (http://www.fumballyexchange.com/fex_balbriggan.html) a new cooperative hub for start-ups and sole traders, especially (but not exclusively) those in the design-based sector. James Reilly came to launch it and there were some anti-household charge protesters there to welcome him :). The cops arrived to, eh, relieve them of their eggs.
