Higginbothams in Newtwon Industrial Estate in Coolock,Dublin 11.
    http://www.higginbotham.ie/

    Abbeywoods in Balydoyle Industrial Estate,Baldoyle,Dublin13.
    http://www.abbeywoods.ie/index.htm

Ive used both before for cutting, plaining and also sanding large pieces of wood and railway sleepers.

Higginbothams did it there and then for me as I waited.

Top Service from both companies though.:)

Paddy will they supply the materials also ? I'v a small unit I want to make for home but have no access to a workshop. I have a cutting list wrote out and all so do ye reckon Higginbothams will give ye a quote for cutting and supplying material ?

I qualified as a cabinet maker but didn't stay in the trade and its been a few years since I did any meaningful work so I'v lost touch with prices.

Can anyone tell me the going rate for a sheet of 18mm plain mdf and approx price of the same in walnut veneer ?

Bot places can and do supply allmost any type of wood you can think of.

Got a quick tour of both places, and both have very impressive setups indeed.:)

Cheers, I've emailed the list so hopefully they get in touch with a quote during the week.

Got quote from Higginbothams. Very pricey so I might try abbeywoods out of interest.

    Anyone used them before ?

If you get stuck message me your cutting list and ill ring around and get prices and can throw it through my table saw for you. You'll have to come to the south side of Drogheda to collect it though.
