Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey,just a few questions,i was fairly young at the time,What caused the incident? What loco was involved and stock?. I recall the Ballina branch set operating Westport-Roscommen on the day.

    It was the 8th November 1997 with 211 and Mark 3s. The cause was the failure of a track joint due to weakening of the trackbed underneath. This caused two fishplates to break as trains passed over them.
