Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thinking of moving from an IPhone 3Gs to a Galaxy S3. Phone looks great in the shops but I've a number of questions.
    1. Can I buy a 'Three' pay as you go and unlock it easily to work with any network?
    2. On my Iphone earphones I can press and hold the button, say the name of the person I want to call and it does it. Can the S3 do this if it's locked in my pocket?
    3. Tapping the top of any web page on the iphone scrolls you right back to the top, can the S3 do this? Not a big deal, just something i like on the iphone.

That's all for now. Calls using the headphone inline-remote is really important, have read conflicting reports as to whether i can do this. Also, being able to walk into the Three shop (they sell it cheapest on PAYG) and unlocking it for my network is also important, any downsides to this if it's possible?

    1. Quite often as PAYG a network won't unlock the phone until you've spent a certain amount of credit. Usually the €150 area. But you can get it done elsewhere for a price.

    2. I believe so, but I'm yet to test it on my own S3. The voice control is imo better on the S3 than iPhone.

    3. Yes you can. You can choose to have it on in the settings menu.

Overall, after from coming from the iphone, and extensive testing with the 5 over the last week, the S3 is a far better phone.

Thanks, I'll have to find out definitively about that headphone calling as it's something I use every day and would be a huge annoyance if it wasn't possible on the S3.

I like the look of 'Google Now' as well but I'm not sure if all S3s have Jelly Bean on them, I know I can add it myself but I'd prefer an official version. Is it still rolling out or has it yet to hit Irish S3s yet?
