    quick question,

does anyone know if your saving history with your credit union counts towards getting a mortgage? iv had a direct debit of between 70 -150 per week going into them for the last 6-7 years. some to pay a loan which has been paid and the rest into shares. iv currently 10 g CU savings and currently have 100 per week going in.

    Does it count at all?

im 28 btw if it matters

Not automatically. If you mention it on your application, I'm sure they'll look for proof (in the form of statements etc)

It helps in a really big way and helps prove affordability. Definitely a big plus in your favour with your mortgage application.
