    Can anyone tell me if there is a shop in Mayo that sells a good selection of wool/patterns etc?

    Loads. Which town?

    Off the top of my head I can think of Walsh's shop at the beginning of Abbey Street beside the Ulster bank in Ballinrobe . (It's like stepping back in time in there.... )
