Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah I know pure luck no skill involved at all in falling one one then trying to force your torso the other getting a strong hand to it from a near imposable position to put the ball wide...

    ... lucky indeed!

Well you make your own luck of course, but the ball could have gone anywhere

    Substitutions havent really helped.

How Gervinho is still on the pitch is a genuine mystery to me. I know we've no subs left, but there's no way Podolski should have been hooked. Its baffling just how brainless he is as a footballer. he genuinely has not got a clue what he's doing if he's given time to think.

    Oh FFS Giroud.

The biggest difference today has been the Goalkeepers. Mannone hasn't done anything wrong, possibly could've done better for the second goal but Cech has denied Arsenal two certain goals. There are other areas of the field where Chelsea have outshone Arsenal but none more obvious than in goals.

I don't know why Arsenal bought Giroud. He is known to be a good header of the ball, yet Arsenal don't cross the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

Really shouldn't have been in a position to lose that. Poor defending and didn't create enough. At least that's three tough games out of the way.

Really? Both teams were woeful, but Arsenal definitely had more chances and probably more of the ball.

Chelsea played well, they deserved the 3pts

Frustrated with Arsenal, messy performance from some players

Arsenal made more mistakes and gave the ball away far more then Chelsea.

Giroud and Walcott struggled to get into when they came on and we shackled Arsenals most dangerous player, Cazorla.

Our CF won rhe majority of balls upto him and brought others in.

I think we deserved the 3 points anyway but thats just IMO.

Cech did make 2 good saves though.

Hard game to analyse. We passed poorly and can't cross the ball and seemed to lack shape. BUT we fought well and battled to the end and could have scraped a draw. Couldn't understand the substitutions at all. Would have left Podolski on.

Chelsea look very good and deserved their win though.

    Both teams were poor.

If thats how we play poor and we win games then ill take playing poor all season. :)
