Burnley Football Club has joined forces with Totally Wicked E-Liquid to try and stamp out smoking at Turf Moor.

The club has signed a two-year stand sponsorship deal with the electronic cigarette company, whose name is emblazoned on the Bob Lord Stand. The two parties have combined forces to hold a dedicated no-smoking day, where Burnley FC supporters will be encouraged to swap a cigarette for an electronic version that replaces the smoke with a vapour.

The club has recently installed smoking pens outside the stadium exit gates on match days in order to comply with football legislation, with the aim of providing a smoke-free atmosphere and eliminate passive smoking within the confines of the stadium.

Totally Wicked will target these areas to encourage smokers to surrender traditional cigarettes and try 'vaping' an electronic cigarette.

Nice idea, not sure how it would work at a Munster match in Thomond Park.
