Travel insurance claim query

Myself and my girlfriend are making an travel insurance claim and there is a €80 excess per person on the policy. I was considering not claiming my expenses (€35) and just letting her claim, but I was wondering if she would be able to claim for the full accommodation cost as it was a joint cost? Anyone know?
