Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all, I'm sorry if I have this in the wrong thread, but here goes any way. I've started a new part time college course in computers science, and part of it is software development, we've been instructed to download Java and textpad to be used at home, I've downloaded and installed both but when I try to compile the way I would have done in college I just get an error message saying "the system cannot find the specified path", can some one please help and point out what I'm doing wrong as I don't want to start falling behind after week one. Thanks for reading.

You need to set your Java classpath/enviornment variables if your compiling through the command line. Also make sure that in the Textpad compiler options that the link to javac.exe is correct. You also obviously need the Java JDK

Here seems to be a good guide how this is done. You probably don't need to set enviornment variables if your not going to be compiling through the command line. You may be better off uninstalling textpad>installing jdk then re-installing textpad
