Do you have the enginner code?

When you enter your code, do you get a message where you have to press Yes or does it arm straight away?

it arms straight away and gives 30 secs to clear out.

Then your code does not have the correct permissions to change code(s)
You will need a manager code or the engineer code to change it.

is there are a standard manger or enginner code like a defult , so i could at least try before i concede defeat.

how do i go about this then try them? just enter in the enginneer code instead of my original alarm one and then see what happens?

If the engineer code is accepted it will enter service menu.
If it displays Authorised By... enter your user code.

didn't accept the engineer code, guess that means it blocked from me.

is the only way now to find that enginneer and get him to change it? or can any specialist do it?

You could get an engineer out to default it.
You could try the standard default yourself but you will need to program up everything again.
If you want to try that you:
Turn off the mains power & disconnect the battery.
remove the factory link (Marked LK1) near the center of the PCB.
Power back up the panel with the link removed.
If the panel is not engineer locked you will be prompted at the keypad to default.
Warning : This removed all programmed setting . The system will need to to be reconfigured .

The only way is to contact the company who installed t and get them to change user code for you. Its unlikely they will give you the "engineer code". As far as i know there is no other way and any other specialist cannot do it unless the replace control board itself. I didnt think you can default it buit maybe i'm wrong. Replacement boards are not very expensive for a securewatch. Regardless you are going to have to get someone out to resolve issue.

    That is not correct.
Any qualified installer can default this panel for you.

The only way to change the user code is either through engineering on the panel or if your manager/user menu has being set up. If the alarm arms when you enter your user code on the keypad then the manager/user menu has not being set up.

Is there an installation company name on the external bell or the keypad.?
