List of all all properties sold in all of Galway in 2012 and in DATE order. Rotten with typos the lazy civil service hacks. Taken off the new Property Price Database we were promised in around 1991 or so. :)

These prices are what was reported to the Revenue...not whatever crap an estate agent came up with or what as paid cash under the table in addition.

Only 10 houses were sold in Barna all year, 1 a month, I thought it would be higher myself. Enjoy.

1 House sold for €1m or over.
7 Houses sold for €500k or over ( what is 46 Orwell Park, Rathgar, doing in Galway)
10 Houses sold for €400k or over
30 Houses sold for €300k-365k (most between €300k and 340k and NONE between €366k and €399k)
40 houses sold between €1 and €50k, most were at least 20 miles from Galway if not over 30 miles (Amazingly one was 16 Elm park, Greenfields for a mere €42k. )

Had a look at the 2011 results. A house that we offered 300k on and were basically laughed at by the EA sold for 260k. Interesting that. Either he was too lazy to get back to us (although we called him a couple of times) or it went to a mate of his - HMM. Tough luck for the seller, lucky escape for us.

I'd say there will be a lot of buyers and sellers that will be surprised once theres a price data base available.

That wouldn't, by any chance, be a house in Corcullen?

    I stuck up the map

    Heres a repost from propertypin

Here is housefree's download of 2012 data uploaded to Google Fusion
    https://www.google.com/fusiontables/data?docid=1DPF-P9zWyqh9Cs1lshvOuIf8jOliDmOvNsdyu3w#rows:id=1

And here is ( a lot of) the same data searchable on a map
    https://www.google.com/fusiontables/embedviz?viz=MAP&q=select+col1+from+1DPF-P9zWyqh9Cs1lshvOuIf8jOliDmOvNsdyu3w&h=false&lat=53.30462107510271&lng=-6.686837515624968&z=7&t=1&l=col1

Caveat: It's messier than Sinead O Connor. There are about fifty addresses Google missed Ireland with altogether.
    Someone should manually fix it.

    It's searchable
    http://support.google.com/fusiontables/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=171203
and downloadable and copyable. If anyone wants to take ownership of it feel free

It would be really useful to combine this with ps200306's detailed description of each property from his scrape of myhome.ie although the addresses are messy enough that this may be difficult

(Anyone know if you can scrape eircom phonebook
    http://www.eircomphonebook.ie/q/name/where/Donnybrook%2C%20Dublin%204/?customerType=RESIDENTIAL
Heh heh *evil laugh* heh heh heh )

PS Has no one searched for resales yet. It's the most valuable thing in there

PPS You can search within a column in the Fusion table

    https://www.google.com/fusiontables/data?docid=1DPF-P9zWyqh9Cs1lshvOuIf8jOliDmOvNsdyu3w#rows:id=1

Click on Filter > Click on column of interest (Address say) > enter search term
(If it's a number field you can do a range)

OK back to the Ryder Cup

PPPS Feel free to repost this to politics.ie. I'm banned over there

Full search engine here for the entire period 2010 to 2012 ( from the above mentioned propertypin website)

I love this new Property Price Search Engine domain name.

Don't worry there are no difficult to explain pics or vids, just enter the name of a town, eg Ballinasloe or Tuam ( Galway is too big so far) :)

This happens. I wonder do the sellers even know about your bid?

Probably not! In this case putting a note through the letter box wasn't an option.

Sounds like a lazy civil service attitude or maybe even a lazy private sector attitude!

    Probably an intRA-family sale.

    IntRA Family.

EG 3 siblings inherit €120k house, value of each 1/3 share = €40k.

One wants the others to buy them out so they do so at €40k...one third.

The Doc in post 1 shows that the €40k is not full market price. (flagged = Yes)

It doesnt seem to be a complete listing. At least three properties that sold in the Alsop auction earlier in the year are missing.

The data seems to be based on Stamp Duty returns. Perhaps the sale of these has not advanced to this stage yet, explanations may be that the sale either fell through or encountered queries that are being dealt with. Conveyancing can take a while if it's to be done thoroughly when the transaction isn't straightforward, e.g. with firesale properties.
