I was woke last night at 1am with what I can only describe as torrential torrential rain!! It was absolutely bucketing down and high winds. Anyone know where I can see rain & wind charts for Northern Ireland for around 1am?

Just drove through a heavy shower that had some sleety/haily bit in it. It was about 20 minutes ago in Galway city. I didnt realise it was cold enough for sleet. The car said 6c so i suppose it was nearly cold enough.

An animation showing Planet Earth during the month of October, as seen by EUMETSAT's primary Meteosat geostationary weather satellite positioned at 0 degrees longitude and at an altitude of 36,000km, otherwise known as 'Full Earth Scan' or 'Full Disc'.

The nominal coverage of this service includes the whole of Europe, the Atlantic Ocean, all of Africa and at locations where the elevation to the satellite is greater than or equal to 10°. The imagery format displayed in the video is EUMETSAT's 'Natural Colour' RGB composite product.
