Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

US farmer eaten by 50-stone pigs

A farmer in the US has apparently been eaten by his own pigs.

Terry Garner (70) never returned after he set out to feed his animals on his farm near the Oregon coast.

A family member later found his dentures and pieces of his body in the pig enclosure, but most of his remains had been consumed.

The district attorney’s office said it was possible Mr Garner had a medical emergency, such as a heart attack, or was knocked over by the animals before he was killed. But criminal activity has not been ruled out.

Authorities estimate the pigs weigh around 50 stones (317.5 kilograms) each. One had either bitten or been aggressive with Mr Garner previously.

I would say it was a criminal who did it, and fed his remains to the pigs. Pigs will eat anything, and eat things quickly. Of course i'm basing this from the movie Snatch, but if true I could understand why it says suspected criminal activity.

Will they slaughter the pigs now after they've eaten human meat ??

They left behind his dentures. They really made a pig's ear of hiding the evidence from what would have been the perfect crime.

They can gather the bits and piece him all together, a dollop of oinkment and he'll be as right as rain in no time.

They would have gotten away with it too if one of them didn't squeal.

Im sure they will, since they would likely have been slaughtered even if they didnt.

Seems somewhat fitting tbh, farmer spends his life raising pigs to be eaten, dies being eaten by pigs. Circle of life.

Having tasted human flesh, these pigs will be unstoppable and eventually replace man as the top predator on Earth.

It's not the first time it's happened. Never feel bad about eating bacon because the pig would eat you if they got a chance.

This story is all over the internet at the moment.

I reckon his wife killed him, and buried him under the farmhouse then chucked some false teeth in with the poor pigs.

    The perfect crime.

I reckon he's still alive after throwing his teeth in with the pigs and running off with a bride wot he bought on the interweb.

Do you know what happened? Those pigs got big enough to eat him so they did, like the majority of pigs would. They were probably big angry and hungry, pumped-up on testosterone mutha****er pigs.

A man was consumed by pigs ladies and gentlemen. Yet near enough every post in this thread has been a pun. What the fuck is wrong with you people? .. You can't all hide behind "its only a laugh" - as there has been so many posts trying to best the previous.

But here is a question - it would appear ok to make fun of this man's death but what if I went over to the poor 5 year old Welsh girl who is missing thread and make a joke about that? ... Not only would I be banned I would get such an outcry from people.... so what is the ethical code people have on here?

It happened in America so its ok to make fun?
He was 70 thus "old" so fuck him?
    He was a farmer?

    Whats the line?

You've got a point. But when a story is bizarre enough, people lose their empathy, because they simply can't visualise themselves or their loved ones in this situation.

It's easier to imagine being the parents of that welsh girl than it is to imagine being eaten by 50 stone pigs.
