MMA in Athlone or surrounding areas?

Hi Guys,

I wanna get involved for some training, I am based in Athlone but willing to travel if there is nothing close by.

Any one have any idea?

If you are willing to travel, Tuatha De Dannan are in Portlaoise - well worth the commute to train with the lads up there.

There's a good BJJ club in Blyry in athlone, great fighter from dublin teaching the class. Also, kickboxing and loads of other arts depending on what you're into. Check out "Athlone budokan" on face book or they have a website as well i think.

Are you serious? I work in Blyry and never even knew it existed

Yeah, it's next to the tile place. There's a big red sign about halfway up the estate, in that group of units.

BJJ is not MMA, it's 1 component of the sport just like Thai Boxing or Judo.

I know, thats why I said about the kickboxing and other classes. It's a martial arts center, loads of different things down there. There's judo, tae kwon do, ninjutsu, silat.
