    Does anyone know how long it would it take to open a bank account for a charity/club kind of account?

    I don't think it took long (as in a couple of weeks max) when we did it once all the paperwork was filled in.

    The main hold ups were getting all signatories to present themselves at the bank with ID. And then again a year later when I went to withdraw some cash to pay for the charity calendar and they declared that they'd lost all copies of our ID and signatures so we had to do it all again!

    People in our group have done all the paperwork, signed everything and just waiting for a/c number. It's a month and we need it now. Maybe another week might see it happen, fingers crossed. Can't think why it takes so long. I am seriously thinking of trying a different bank. But as its not megabucks I guess they aren't taking us seriously.

    Well we are with UB if that's any help.

    Ring them up and see what the hold up is, should speed them up.
