€700-750 gaming build

Hi lads iv a friend in the market for a new gaming pc. Build would be for mostly gaming and some solidworks. Monitor not included in the budget but operating system is part of it. He's into MW3, BF3 and some minecraft. Also he doesn't have any spare parts lying around that he could use. Thanks

yes, you can OC it, but on stock CPU cooler it wont be much, if you want to OC properly get a cooler too. I did not added it in to build as it was already a bit over the budget.

not sure 100%, but it will get a slight bump up. it will be loud though. intel stock sounds like ****.

well, i would personally have 550w. you never know how will future GPUs pan out. so that 10 extra eu for 550w gives you a lot of peace of mind. plus overclocking headroom to spare. i would just skip on those 2 extra pints in a pub and get that PSU.

Might as well get the 550 so and btw its 10 bottles of Lucozade down here in west limerick for a 10er :P

Shadow's build is fine. I'd go for Western Digital myself, but that's about it. I suppose you could cut the 7850 to the 1GB version if you're trying to keep closer to budget and if you knew that he wouldn't be going up "HD" resolution any time soon.

450W is actually quite a lot over the needs of that system, even with overclocking the CPU and GPU.

would it? i was quite on a fence on that one. i would still like to have 550w, but that just me.
