Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd be dead within a year, but I would have had a great time.

And I'd pay off an ex-girlfriends college loans. Just cos I'm nice like that.

2 - Make sure all my family and friends get sorted.
3 - Travel the world for as long as i want.
4 - Eventually build a nice house and buy an Audi R8
5 - Consider having kids (only time i would consider)

    1. Pay off all my parents mortgages/debts and give them some spending money do with as they wish.
    2. Visit the Ferrari dealer, have a sit down with the people there and place an order for a 458 to my exact specs.
    3. Travel the world for 12 months, maybe more.
    4. Buy/build a nice house in a place I'd like to live (away from Ireland).
    5. Enjoy.

Get rid of the mortgage, spend some.
invest most and live off the interest. (8m x 3% less DIRT is still 180k a year!)

Take great joy in creatively finding a way to leave the current job.
Finding some enjoyable yet meaningless job to do a few hours a day to keep occupied.

When I win the lotto, haha, first thing I would do is march into my current bank with the big publicity cheque they give you and tell them I would like to close my account with immediate effect.... And to go **** themselves. Next on the to do list (after lodging my winnings elsewhere) is head to the airport and get on the next flight to wherever and follow the seasons around the world and have a good time spending my moola.

    OK, if it's 10M

    1) spend 2m on friends on family, paying off mortgages etc.
    2) put 2m into an account and let the interest off that feed a number of charities on a consistent basis.
    3) buy a plot in fuertuventura and build a house @ 750k. with loads of cats/dogs
    4) buy a bistro/wine bar in fuertuventura @ 750k. Give me something to do, and what I'd love to do..
    5) buy a nice classic car that I could drive everyday around the island, nothing mad, maybe 10k.
    6) put the rest in the bank for a rainy day ;)

As you can see, I've thought about this a lot!

I would buy our family home.
I would donate a decent chunk to local charities.
I would continue to study and without worrying where money is coming from so I can end can end being a vet like I want.
I would buy myself a fecking range rover because ive always wanted one.
I would buy a chunk of land enough for a small holding.

I would try to continue to live as a normal person as much as possible. To persist in this fantasy of being ordinary, I would hire a bouncer/banker type to manage my spending.

Best answer so far and well thought out,

however only alteration I would make is hold back on the family mortgage payments a bit( for their own good) and tell them I only won 1.8 million

    For every bodies sanity
