Merlin Woods wildlife

A week or so back, while walking through the woods (on a path) I encountered a young red squirrel having a feast in a hazel tree. Today I surprised a flock of about 10 goldfinches. Anybody see anything else (more interesting than crows and pigeons) ?

In fairness, do they need it?? it would just be running parallel, and quiet close to Merlin Lane and the road through the hospital anyway!

My point exactly. My Daughter lives 5 minutes walk from Merlin Park, takes her grandchildren there frequently and sees plenty of people enjoying the area.
