Galway to Thurles?

What is the best route from Galway to Thurles?. Has anyone drove there recently and how long about(travelling at a reasonable pace) would it take to get there?...thanks

Galway-Portumna-Borrisokane-Nenagh-Thurles, an hour-and-a-half handy, 70-75 miles depending on where in Galway you start from.

If you go to maps.google.ie and literally type in galway to thurles

It'll draw the route and give you directions. You ca drag the route around to explore alternatives, and you ca also ask it to suggest a walking route. his tries to locate the shortest possible route, great for cycling.
