Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Really looking forward to this. Seventh against eight in the table. Carroll should start for the Hammers and Mertesacker returns for the Gunners.

Team news to come later when available.

West Ham will get in Arsenal's faces that's for sure. Hoping for an Arsenal win.

    0-2 Arsenal

    Confirmed line-ups via the BBC.

Arsenal: Mannone, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Ramsey, Cazorla, Arteta, Gervinho, Giroud, Podolski. Subs: Martinez, Koscielny, Andre Santos, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Coquelin, Arshavin.

I expect to see Walcott and Arshavin on later. Come on Arsenal!!!

The referee failed a fitness test last season. I hope he's up to speed now!

I thought you'd resigned yourself to fourth after last week :D

Clean sheet and Gervinho hat-trick would suit me (and my fantasy team) just fine!

Hope Phil Dowd does a good and fair job on this match as West Ham will try their bully-boy stuff early.

Pretty much getting there tbh. It's disappointing in the first week of October to be thinking like that but it's that or delusion. Anyway a hat-trick for Giroud and I'll be happy enough.

Hope Ramsey has a great game today.

Ramsey's some ****in tank, can't believe he was able to flatten Carroll like that.

Arteta is the Bruce Spingsteen of the midfield.
Players always looking to pass to him.

15 minutes in and the west ham keeper has started time wasting already

Can Mertzacker actually jump? I have yet to see him get his two feet off the ground. He need to stay closer to Carroll.

    Shakey enough there.

    Ffs Gervinho, no excuse.

Shouldn't have gone offside but what was Giroud playing at giving the ball to him?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,183 ✭✭✭UnknownSpecies

Should have gone. No point booking him for the celebration if it means he's going to let him off a booking later on.
