Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If feel an "Are Trapattoni and Ireland done" thread coming on.

I hope not - as it's against the charter now.

This is Ireland in Landsdowne Road in a game that matters. We don't get beat.

    Sorry Lloyd couldn't resist

Sure havn't we got all them injuries.....

Faroes lost 3-0 in Germany. Austria lost 3-1 in Austria. Ireland havn't lost by more than one goal in a home qualifier in 1 second.

And where's the money going to come from to sack him? Delaney?

We are stuck with him for some time to come, regardless of what happens on the pitch.

I don't really get why everyone's blaming Trap.

We have a collection of useless players - and our youth players are just as bad, except lacking experience in accepting failure. A new manager won't suddenly get us a good roster.

Watching Ireland try to play reminds me of my girlfriend trying to play Fifa 13 for the first time when i'd mistakenly left it on the world class difficulty setting.

Why the f**k do we have to endure Ronnie Whelan as a co-commentator? He peforms worse as a commentator than the Irish team do against top-rated teams.

    Indeed.

What a depressing man to listen to.

They may as well bring on the German population a person at a time to score a goal..

Reus off for Podolski. Class showing, would have liked to see him get the hat trick if they were to score some more.

Can't believe there's another 25 mins to go....feel sick watching this.

Germany could run in another 5 or 6 if they want....

Exactly. The gulf in quality is not Trap's fault. McGeady is the only Champions League player out there for us.

This is the equivalent of Ireland taking on New Zealand in rugby and getting a hiding.

It's easier though to pretend McCarthy would make a difference (even though Wolves sacked him for suffering a hiding at home).

Was gna say it was like me playing last night hammered online getting destroyed.dont know what else to say other than what else do we expect.we don't have a strong team,we rely on older/experience players to get us through,we have an arrogant manager who refused many times to try and develop a young squad of players in order to play against top level sides and now his arrogance is being exposed big time

If the Euros didn't do it then tonight should ....

    All you Trap haters.
Pleae tell all us inexperienced numpties the Irish players available that you would have picked, and the type of formation you would have played that would have brought us up to your level of expectation?

    Go on !!!

Now tell me how the current management could have.

Ha ha... a tweet from Chris O' Dowd:
Special thanks to the Irish team for not getting in the way of our viewers watching the exciting finale of #MooneBoy

Moone's Boy on in 15 minutes on Sky1 by the way.

If only I knew the German word for that

    keogh now. comedy.

3 championship players, we really don't have a chance against this german team

i didnt think we would get a draw tonight but I think Germany will win their remaining games, if we make 2nd spot we will have done very well

time to bring on Mcshane to put the nail in the coffin

Guy would have thrived in this setting. Much better than O'Dea and really not that far off O'Shea.

But of course it's easy to rip the piss out of him so people will just do that instead.

The last time Ireland conceded five goals was.... let's see if I get my history books now...

    ....err... Cyprus in 2006.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,743 ✭✭✭MrMatisse

The players dont give a shit

Cox and O'Dea are Sunday league players

Fahey cant get a game in the championship

    Andrews very ordinary

    Westwood is a reserve keeper

    Hence 5 -0

Wilson, Pilkington, Hoolihan, Clarke, McClean (when fit) dont get to play, our hopes are pinned on them.

Congratulations Mr Trappatoni, you offically have the worst job in the world

We could give passports to a bunch of part time Faroes players. At least our goal difference would be better......

It's okay gents the government have a multi million pound bet for Ireland to lose by six or more.
