Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Coleman and Walters can hold their heads high at least

The only two. The rest are bloody awful. Trap, be on your way :(

I don't really get why everyone's blaming Trap.

We have a collection of useless players - and our youth players are just as bad, except lacking experience in accepting failure. A new manager won't suddenly get us a good roster.

Maybe so. But a different manager would pick the best players at his disposal. Pick players who are playing at decent clubs in a top league. Not a manager who picks players who play for **** MLS sides like O'Dea, players like McShane, Keogh, and Ward, all playing in the second tier in England yet they are all ahead of players who play regulary in the Premier League - Wilson, Coleman, Clark, Long, McClean.

I like Trap but I don't understand him at times.

The Germans haven't caused this much destruction in Dublin since they bombed the North Strand in the fourties!

Guy would have thrived in this setting. Much better than O'Dea and really not that far off O'Shea.

But of course it's easy to rip the piss out of him so people will just do that instead.

And should we leave the regularly playing Premiership defender (Wilson) on the bench.O'Dea is suited to the Mickey Mouse league he's in.

It's okay gents the government have a multi million pound bet for Ireland to lose by six or more.

Guaranteed it'll stay at 5 then. They'd never let us have a bit of extra cash.

Germans seem happy enough with 5.

I don't recall O'Dea playing this badly before now. Should Trap discard players who have served the team well before based on the fact there are others playing in the Premier League?

Keep in mind Mick would play Breen when he hardly played for his club.

    All you Trap haters.
Pleae tell all us inexperienced numpties the Irish players available that you would have picked, and the type of formation you would have played that would have brought us up to your level of expectation?

    Go on !!!

Now tell me how the current management could have.

Would a different manager pick a Toronto FC defender over an experienced premier league player in decent form like Ciaran Clark? Why is Simon Cox, an average Championship striker, on the wing? Who picked him there?

Look, I'm not a fan of knee jerk calls to sack the manager (I'm an Arsenal fan, so I've previous in this area). But there are things that the current manager is doing to the team that are just baffling. If it wasnt for injuries we would be seeing the usual 4-4-2 with the same players and system. He doesnt want to try things, and thats the frustrating part. Even in friendlies, he is not interested in experimenting.

Its not outlandish to have a go at a manager making silly mistakes. It doesnt make you a "Trap hater" to point out these things.
