    Hi guys,

So I noticed on the second day of my Thomas Coopers IPA homebrew that the yeast was settled at the top of the brew. It was all clumpy and biscuit-like.

Some of it was stuck to the side of the fermenter and the rest just lying on top of the bubble or krausen area.

I didn't stir the yeast in, I just scattered it on top. It's It's not day six of fermenting and some of the yeast is still stuck to the sides of the brew.

Is this natural? Should I have stirred the yeast into the brew? Or is this just how top fermenting yeast works?

    Cheers.
