Hey all, I've recently done up the majority of the downstairs of the house, now it's time for the kitchen. I'm just going to do the doors for now as money is tight.
I've attached some pics so you can check it out. Parts of the bottom of the doors are peeling away, the doors are at least 10yrs old so I think they're just pvc, or laminate (not sure). Is is worth my time sanding them and repainting them or should I just get new doors?
    Thanks

These look like a foil wrapped MDF door. I don't think it would be worth the hassle of trying to paint them and would prob be more expensive anyway. You would have to remove all the foil and sand all of the edges and mouldings really well. It would be a huge hassle. Then if you wanted a decent finish on them paint wise then getting them specially sprayed would be the best option because the MDF is so porous. I would recommend replacing the doors.

Yeah, I think new doors are probably the way to go too.

Definitely new doors. I repainted the doors in my old place. Used some sort of specialist acrylic paint but it was not easy to get a decent finish, and preparation was a nightmare. It still looked like an old kitchen when it was done, and my starting point was not as bad as yours. I think you can order doors fairly cheaply through guys that do installations for people. By all accounts there are plenty of guys who make kitchens base on plans drawn up by some of the well known kitchen companies, who they end up ordering doors from, but do the job at half the price.
