First time PC build

Hey guys,

I'm looking to have a go at building my first pc, any suggestions are appreciated

1. What is your budget? [€800 can stretch a little bit if needed]

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Photoshop, dreamweaver, general use]

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [No]

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [No]

5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes]

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [22' or 24']

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1080/1440x900/etc.] [Yes/No]

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Keyboard and Mouse]

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Yes]

8. How can you pay? [I can pay by Visa or Mastercard]

9. When are you purchasing? [Next two weeks]

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [Shouldn't need any help]

I'm currently living in the UK so that might make a difference as to who I'll be ordering from, looking forward to hearing any suggestions.

You're living in the UK, so do you want a build that's €800 or £800?

Sorry should have made that clearer €800 so about £650, also I forgot to mention I'd like for the PC to be fairly quiet as it'll be in the leaving room.

The basket script doesn't seem to be working with Scan ATM, so you'll have to make do with a screenshot .

You still need a keyboard and mouse, and if there's money left over you could always throw in a graphics card for a bit of gaming on the side.

You'll need a graphics card with that. I don't think there's any onboard graphics in that motherboard.

Semi modular PSU. It doesn't come with the modular cables but it has a few cables for hard drives and a graphics card.

The silverstone strider appears to be an OEM version of this PSU:

I can't see any difference apart from this one having a tick for crossfire. However, they have the same connections so that should make any difference. Perhaps the other one doesn't have the main power cable. It probably has less packing.


Of course if you get a very light graphics card, you might be better off with a low wattage PSU like
