Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hi, is it possible to run another cable straight out of the old style upc/chorus box, directly into another tv. i notice theres two connections on the back of the box. one has the input cable coming from the upc point, so would the other one be an ooutput? thinking of do this so as i can watch tv upstairs. obviously il cant change channels, but at least il be able to watch something

The output might just be a loopthrough, to pass any analogue signals carried on the cable to a tv's analogue tuner. I don't know if UPC boxes have an onboard modulator like a Sky box.

Moved to Cable. UPC boxes don't have a modulator, for those that have RF out it is just analogue pass-through. Newer boxes don't have the RF out at all.

A solution is to hook the box to a VCR and use its RF out instead.

If you want to watch TV on two TVs you should get UPC to install a second outlet and pay extra per month.

In some areas there are 17 analogue channels (not on MMDS, and not in Cork on cable). These can be fed into any TV without needing a box and picked up by doing an auto setup on the TV.

However if you only pay for one UPC connection then that is all you get. If you split it yourself then the signal to the main TV will drop lower. This may cause freezing and break up. When UPC professionally install a second outlet then ensure a strong signal is received on every TV.

If you are currently watching analogue channels via UPC they are not changing on 24th of October and will continue as normal.
