    Didn't get anything myself yet.

I assume that is 1.4% for Credit cards and 25c for Debit cards and not 1.4% + 25c because that would be awful!

Now if they just made the payouts as fast as others it would be perfect!

    It's not very specific:
Our new price for users in Ireland will be 1.40% + 25c for all European cards and 2.90% + 25c for all non-European cards.

It has to be just poorly worded otherwise its a big step backwards!

Just got the email too. Does it give you a quote on how much you save of 32% or is it actually giving an individual quote on that?

Looking at their website, the previous pricing was 2.4% + 24c

Yeh it's just a poorly worded email. Going to start using SumUp a lot more now. Previously it was a flat 1.95% across the board for EU cards at least.

Is SumUp just 25c for debit cards?

Is there a cap on the transaction amount?

Nope. 25c is only the off the shelf rate if you are doing €30k+/month then you can approach them about a custom rate.

Not sure if you misread Cormie's post here but the mail he was quoting was from Stripe not SumUp

Got a call from this lot earlier, another option but the monthly fee is a big put off:
Thanks for taking my call this morning and for considering WorldNet.

WorldNet is a Dublin based, Irish owned card payments gateway which specialises in providing our customers with a variety of methods for accepting card payments. These include Mobile Chip & Pin for face to face transactions, Virtual Terminal for over the phone transactions and eCommerce for payments through your website. From our conversation this morning I think that the Virtual Terminal is the best solution for you.

As well as providing the payment methods above we also have a host of value add services including:

Tokenisation: Our SecureCard feature allows you to safely store card details on our servers for use at a later stage. Ideal for repeat customer

Automated recurring payments: Use stored cards to create an ongoing subscription. These can be done on a daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly and yearly basis. Subscriptions will automatically till they reach a designated end point. You can update subscription amounts, edit card details and process add hoc payments at any stage

3D Secure: Online password for card payments. This provides you with extra protection against fraudulent transactions. Not compulsory, but can be applied if you wish

MIS Reporting: Our system will keep track of all transactions that come through WorldNet, allowing you to easily reconcile all transactions and process full or partial refunds at the press of a button without needing the card details

Multiple user logins: WorldNet allows you to have unlimited users meaning all of your staff can process Virtual Terminal payments anytime, anywhere

No setup fees, no integration fees, free merchant account

    Why switch to WorldNet?

As WorldNet is an omni channel gateway, we can provide you with all of these card acceptance facilities under one account. These services are backed up by our 99.99% uptime and extensive backend reporting facility which allows for easy to use transaction reporting and reconciliation. I will be your Relationship Manager from day one and will always be on hand to answer any queries you have relating to the merchant account or your WorldNet account.

WorldNet partners with Elavon to provide you with a free merchant bank account. Generally Elavon would charge a monthly fee and setup charges but this is not the case when you are a WorldNet customer. The merchant banking rates we can offer you through our partnership with Elavon are as follows:

Visa & MasterCard credit cards - 1.28% per transaction
Visa & MasterCard debit cards - 35 cent per transaction
Commercial cards - 1.93% per transaction
International cards - 2.28% per transaction

The WorldNet fees will depend on the service you require, a summary of our pricing can be seen below with a more detailed breakdown in the attached proposal.

If you require Virtual Terminal only:

    €20 per month
10 cent authorisation charge per transaction

I appreciate that there is a lot of information here so I would be more than happy to drop in to you at some stage for a brief meeting to discuss what WorldNet can do fro you in more detail. In the meantime, please see attached PDF documents which contain further information on some of the products we can provide for you. Once you are happy to move ahead, we can have you up and running and processing card payments within 7 days.

If you have any questions at all or to arrange a follow up call or meeting don't hesitate to contact me directly.
