Do I need Saorview?

Hi all. I have an old Cork Multichannel (now UPC) cable in my house that we use to get RTE, TV3 and TG4 on. Do we need Saorview? Does anyone know if this cable still be usable after the big cutover this month? Thanks a mill. CG.

Analogue switch off doesn't affect UPC cable services, only channels received thru an aerial - http://support.upc.ie/app/answers/detail/a_id/320/~/analogue-switch-off.

If you have a bug/caption onscreen on any of the channels like this "x 24 OCTOBER" or this "x 24/10/12" you are receiving your TV through an aerial that will be switched off on Oct 24th, if you don't see that you will be OK.
