Just got my email I am in band A

    Roll on stage 3

Me too. Had a mini panic attack reading other peoples posts thinking everyone seemed to get way further than me so I couldn't possibly be getting anywhere. I spend hours every day typing for years. Worry not. :)

edit: Yeah if you're on B or C you get put on the list to be called in when all the A's that pass stage 3 & 4 have filled open positions. Then they move to B's to fill open positions.

Would love to know the amount that applied/amount of band A's and the amount of positions.

Don't be nervous, take it down a peg. Go in with a good attitude and a bit of confidence you'll be fine.

    21k a year it said.

I didn't know thhat there was 2 more stages left, i thought the assessment and interview was rolled into one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 400 ✭✭djor88

Band A also, happy with that!

There's 2 stages left, assessment and application/interview. I'd imagine that the application process will filter out alot of applicants too, I think that even if you pass stage 3 assessment, you're not guaranteed an interview..

What is involved in an assessment test? Can anybody suggest a site or a library book where I could practice tests.

    Thanks

Is anybody familiar with the hours of work/shift patterns that the Emergency Call Takers and Dispatchers do for these roles?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,876 ✭✭✭deelite

I think I read that it's shift work 3 x 12 hr days and then a break, then 4 x 12 hour night shifts and vice versa - don't ask where I got this info from as I have no idea - I may have dreamt it....

  • Registered Users Posts: 400 ✭✭djor88
