Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

sky callback using VOIP on magnet Entertainment
Hi, has anyone had any luck in getting the calback function to work with a multiroom sky box using VOIP phone line with Magnet Entertainment?

I would be very interested to find out.

    Kind Regards,

    Johnny

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I can't find another one similar.

I am having this issue with Magnet FTTH broadband with a VoIP phone line. The sky+HD box cannot make the callback. Does anyone know of a way to resolve this?
I would really appreciate it, thanks everyone.

VoIP systems use different methods of encoding, sampling and compressing your phones audio to a regular digital phone line (eircom). Some will work fine eg UPC and Smart Telecom use carrier grade VoIP systems and the Sky modems seem happy enough with them.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do to make the Sky modem over the FTTH line VoIP service if it won't work.

If sky start hassling you, tell them you'll have no option but to switch to cable ad you've a fibre optic line,

They're usually fairly accepting of these situations.

This one's really for satellite but seeing as its an old thread and the questions been answered perhaps better to close.
