Murderball (Wheelchair Rugby) is coming to Ulster

    Wheelchair Rugby is coming to the Antrim Forum on next Sat 20th & Sun 21st of October. Anyone interested in trying out the sport please come along on Sun 21st of October at 2 p.m where there is an opportunity for you to watch & try out the sport. There are a number of spare Wheelchair Rugby chairs available for people to use.


    On Saturday the 20th of October the second round of the Ulster Bank Wheelchair Rugby Irish League will be played. Leinster are currently on top of the table with two wins followed be Connacht and Ulster who have a win each.

    Fixtures for Saturday 20th October: : 12.00 Ulster v Leinster, Munster v Connacht, Connacht v Leinster, Ulster v Munster.

    There will be more opportunites to try and watch Wheelchair Rugby later in the year

    November 17th/18th Cork
    December 22th Dublin Finals

    We also train in Dublin every Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm in the Irish Wheelchair Association. You can contact the team through

    Are you eligible to play:
    To be eligible to play Wheelchair Rugby, individuals must have a disability which affects the arms and legs. Most players have spinal cord injuries with full or partial paralysis of the legs and partial paralysis of the arms. Other disability groups who play include cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, amputations, polio, and other neurological conditions. Men and women compete on the same teams and in the same competitions.

    Players are assigned a sport classification based on their level of disability; teams must field players with a mix of classification values, allowing players with different functional abilities to compete together.
