Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
Going for interview as primary school teacher. Any advice on questions that might pop up? Particularly as gaeilge. Need to brush up on Irish as I have been in learning support for a long time.
    Thanks

Do a search here there are hundreds of threads and posts already here on interview questions without starting up a new one. You will not get a full idea by starting a new thread.

Also check educationposts.ie forum has a primary section and again hundreds of threads there asking the same questions

Sorry to bang this drum again but why does it matter what they ask you as Gaeilge (in Irish) as opposed to what they'll ask you in general? You're supposed to be competent in Irish in order to be a primary school teacher and if you're not, you shouldn't be doing the job.

<snip> Of course I'm competent in Irish. I was only only asking for advice so I'm well prepared for the interview.<snip>

Inclusion, differentiation, how you would uphold the ethos of the school ,what you can bring to the school-can you take choir/team/green flag.Child protection,IWBs, parental relations are hot topics at present too.New literacy and numeracy strategy-your opinions on it.
Conas a spreagfá na páistí chun Gaeilge a labhairt?Dá mbeadh rogha agat, cén rang a phiocfá?
(How would you inspire children to speak irish. If you had the choice, which class would you picl)

Ba cheart duit an píosa seo a aistriú go Béarla. Ní bhíonn daoine gan Gaeilge in ann postáil má tá daoine ag labhairt Gaeilge gan í a aistriú.

You should translate this piece to english. People without Irish aren't able to post if people are speaking Irish without translating it.
