I want to change the box room into a study/bedroom.

I want to get built in wardrobes, with a desk hidden behind doors. The only place this will fit is where the rad is.

Is it a big deal to move it? any idea who much it would cost? also who would move it - would it need to be a plumber?

would it be possible to get some to fit out the room and move the rad?

    thanks

    Yes, it is absolutely possible.
However, the reccomended route is to use a plumber to do this. The timing would be important as he will need to lift floorboards to re-direct the pipework. So this should happen after you have cleared the room out and removed the carpets.
Once this is done you can set to work getting the new cupboards/desk in place.

A good handy man would also be able to do this and build the units...but as he may be a 'jack of all trades' it would be better to use specialist (ie plumber for the radiator, furniture installer for the units). It all depends on the money!

As trigger said a plumber for moving rad, i got one moved from one side of room to opposite side. The plumbing was fairly straight forward, it was the removel of floor boards and skirting boards that took most effort. The plumber charged me €75 and i done the rest myself

What type of construction is the floor?
