Power Meter

Can anyone point me to a device that I can plug in to record the energy usage in my house over a period of time.

Something that could maybe record data and put into an excel sheet?

See some smart meters online but not sure if these are for only checking power of one device at a time.

Something along the lines of this. They're all over ebay but as with this one you'll have to see how or where they're connected. The plug in ones will generally only read an appliance you'll need a meter that is capable or reading your supply meter or some how taps into your incoming supply.

This looks good. WHat do ye guys think? This seems to look at the total energy being used rather than energy from one appliance only.

Looks good they all more or less do the same thing it's just a matter of how they're connected. This one looks like an easy enough install.

Well I would rather the total energy into the house rather than just checking to see what one appliance uses. Which is what most of them meters seems to check.

the plug in ones check individual appliances. The link I posted is similar to the one you put up yet they connect differently.

The one you posted sounds like what you're after, good luck with it.

The Efergy e2 classic comes with a USB port and software to allow you to download and plot your energy usage over time. If I recall correctly you can also do a csv file dump for doing your own data analysis.
