Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tryng to weight up the options to buy my folks a HD TV for the christmas.

Currently have an ages old 22 inch 4:3 TV tucked away in the corner.

Debating wheater to get a 32 inch HD TV and hope that it will fit in the corner OR to get a larger set (40 or 42 inches) and put it above the mantelpiece?

It is just slightly over a metre from the ground to the top of the mantlepiece.

Would this be too high to put the TV for comfortable viewing? Also would lighting the fire over the winter put at risk the TV over the mantlepiece?

I have attached a pic of my living room also.

Thanks for your feed back folks!

I've been thinking about something similar when I get a new TV in the next few weeks. My concern is the heat rising from the fire as I use an open fire.
