Hiya guys, I'm looking for a good location to do some seascape photography, interesting rocks etc. Any thoughts on a good place to go??

I've heard of (St?) Helen's Bay in Wexford, does anyone know it? Any other suggestions?

    Thanks.

Reckon Kilfarrasy Beach, Co Waterford is hard to beat, but why not have a look for yourself:

Definitely, definitely Kilfarrasy Beach. Stunning beach. Get there for the sunrise and then travel a few miles on to Annestown beach.

This is an image I took from the side of the beach with the least amount of rocks!

Thanks a million Steoc. Where do you live, I can drive if you like?

I just need to get myself a hard grad filter, thinking 2 stops for starters. I got a soft grad but it's really not up to the job.

Dunany in County Louth is a lovely stretch of coastline

Along the coast from Rush to Loughshinny in North County Dublin there are some great rock formations stretching from the North Beach in Rush to Loughshinny pier with good views of Lambay Rockabill and Shenick islands.

HDR from around the corner from above shot but it gives you an idea of possabilities

The martello tower above is believed to have been linked to Lambay so the rock formations around the headland are very good.

Loads of places in Dublin. It's hard to beat Dollymount and bull wall, or north to Malahide, Skerries.

When I first started out with photography I damn near lived on St. Helen's Bay taking seascapes (with some rather peculiar white balances and borders that I thought were so sexy at the time).

Not into landscape much these days, but a good spot if you get a decent sunrise and one place I will some day revisit if I can summons the energy to get up early.

Then you have the Hook Lighthouse which you can use for either sunrise or sunset -

A bit of HDR thrown into one of these... everyone is guilty.

Or you could try Dunmore-East... I only ever visited once, and this is looking back towards the Hook Lighthouse

And finally, for sunset - The Burrow in Rosslare is great when conditions are right -
