Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey Guys,

Dublin is great, the pubs are great, the nightlife is great... but I dont wanna get stuck in a rut of going out every weekend. Monday Blues ?

I'm irish, in my late 20's and want to try another way of meeting new cool people who socialise in places other than pubs ...

    All suggestions welcome !

Cheers (damn it i mean thanks ha)

What about Museums in Dublin there's a few and there good just some things to do during the day. Also comedy clubs would be real fun again though that would have a drinking side to it, but its different and such a laugh The Woolshed on Parnell st I think have a comedy night on Mondays or there's the laughter lounge. You could look into day trips around dublin or just going for dinner as well. Hope any of this helps or interests you. :)

    Thanks for that Trisha...

Yeah i was at the laughter lounge before, was great craic and the drink was flowing haha. Ah I do like the pubs in Dublin but like i said its nice to do other things. I'm kinda new to Dublin... and my small circle of friends drink ALOT... so maybe thats the problem :)
I need to widen my circle ! Monday night comedy night sounds good !

Actually in the last couple of weeks I've been looking into hiking clubs (wrong season) and even volunteering in dublin. Yeah theres definately other things to do in this city with my spare time.

Just ran the marathon last month so yeah back to the gym sounds good for the winter. Hiking will start in spring. Back proper at jogging then for the summer. I have a plan.
PS: I've heard the Gardai will be patrolling Dublin soon on Segways actually. how funny is that. lol.
Anyway, keep the ideas coming as theyre plentiful when in young student mode !

Oh wow the marathon fair play to ya. And yes I actually seen the guards on Grafton street on the segways very funny think its ridiculous. I'd love to run up and take one and give it a go lol. Anyway good luck with all your fitness plans. ;)

If you are into arts and cultural events, there is the Dublin Arts & Culture Meetup group. Plus tons of other interest groups at Meetup.com if you haven't checked it out yet. I'm always surprised by how many people are not aware of Meetup.

Just search your interests whether outdoor, culture, music, food, hobbies, etc... Join as many groups as you like to get notified by email about upcoming events. There is never any obligation to attend unless you RSVP "Yes" so it is an easy way to find something fun to do where you can meet people in person any day of the week.

    Cheers... :)
