I,m putting in a new pvc window, 36x40 inch, i notice 2 inches from window ,on each side of frame, theres a slot 1inch wide x 4ft, depth 6 inches .
vertical in the concrete wall .
I need to fill it in .IS there an insulation material i can get that can be cut to size, that i can use to fill it.
I intend to put in some form of insulation , then seal it ,with concrete or silicone type filler.
it would be easier ,to do it before new, window goes in.
    old windows are wood,sash type.
it looks as if ,at some point there was plaster in the slots,or wood .
i just have plastic duct tape on the slots ,temporary to stop rain getting in.
