Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

McGeddy in his big red boots.

Wilson looking very solid. I know its the faroes but the one player I really wanted to see come in

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

I feel sorry for McCarthy. A guy that can run a midfield and the ball is always hoofed in the air instead of letting him play.

Faroes look decent on the ball so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,909 ✭✭✭Neeson

McCabes Pharmacy open till 11pm every night. The faroes will be heading there now i'm sure.

    Coleman is unreal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,424 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

Give Coleman more ball down the wing. He has pace to burn over those Faroe on left

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Who was Ronnie referring to with the "lots and lots of pressure" comment

If we can start passing the ball around then we might get at them

the irish players are so spineless, no one wanted the ball when we had the throw in

Walters needs to be more effective

Frustrating there how we patiently kept the ball for a minute working up the left, across the back to the right, back to the left and then into O'Shea who hoofs an aimless ball under no pressure. O'Shea should be better than that (although i say that about O'Shea a lot)

one thing ive learned from rte commentary today:wilson plays for stoke

its not spineless, its just being tactically brain dead at set pieces

When an irish player gets the ball....HOOF!

Faroe Islands are passing the ball around quite nicely so far.

That's not what he said, we are a number of levels above the Faroe Islands.

Were all 11 Irish players in their own box for that corner?

O'Shea has always hoofed the ball under little or no pressure since his early days at United. It's sad to say but neither him or O'Dea are near enough good for International level football.

Can see the Faroes scoring if we don't improve

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I'd disagree but what i will say is that O'Shea has to be one of the poorest older pros playing for Ireland in a while - by that i mean that at his age you'd expect a little leadership and some sort of backbone. What he has always been is soft.

we clearly aren't, if we were we would be dominating possession and having a fair few chances

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

Trap for feck sake just let them try and play football for 5 possibly 10 mins top.

Do you understand what the phrase "We've found our level" means?

Edit: actually forget it. If you actually think that we are the level of the Faroe Islands in international football i'd be wasting my time talking to you.
