and for what its worth...these pitches are very good for passing when they are a bit wet but obviously we just hoof the ball so it cancels the effect of the playing surface out.

I am being serious, I have taken no notice of the team selection for this match or any of the usual bullsh!t politics that surround the selection process.

Were people expecting anything else given the confidence levels after last Friday night? All teams would take a 1-0 here. Weathered a little pressure which was always going to happen seeing as we generally struggle so badly in keeping the ball. Easy on the panic stations

panic stations have been happening well before these 45minutes though.

This was never going to be a stroll in the park. The Sweden game showed that. Alas many fans subscribe to Bill's simplistic view of the game that it would be 'inconceivable' that we could lose.

Not really with me. I know this Irish team is very poor. Germany or Sweden didnt blitz this team so i dont know what people were expecting. As for the quality of play, have ye not been watching Ireland in the past 2 years? This is the norm. We'll get one or two in the second half

There is nothing a midfield can do when you have o'****e launching it ever time he sees it. He is worse than my 3 year old nephew.

McCarthy has been brutal, Andrews too. McCarthy is doing nothing and doesn't get back and help out either, he also made a terrible pass early in the game which sent the Faroes on the counter. Neither of the two of them getting back to break up the play and as a result the defense is being left exposed. I think they have done a decent job given they are getting no cover.
