Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i dont know what people were expecting.

4-0? 5-0? Something of that order was the near concensus on this forum anyway.

Check out the Germany match thread - there were guys mugs prepared to have their nuts on us at the 1/5 Paddy Powers were offering.

Delighted with the way this is going, hopefully from tomorrow Trap can stay in his retirement home in Milan permanently rather than taking holidays over here every few months

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,961 ✭✭✭✭_Kaiser_

Sad state of affairs when we're relying on them to get too tired to keep up the pace so we might get a chance

1-0 win and Trap gone in the morning would be ideal

Sweden were in this exact same position on Friday. Just saying...

Nice to see no-one's jumping to conclusions anyway. There's bloody 45 minutes left

I can see the Faroes tiring in the last third

    Those 3 ads are cringeworthy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,122 ✭✭✭Imhof Tank

    They are EMBARRASSING us.

Look at their efforts to play the ball out of defence, their midfielders showing for it.

Now look at O'Shea's and O'Dea's efforts at "distribution", our mifdfielders turning their back to lope upfield.

This is anti football and i hope we suffer the kind of humiliation which might just might spark a wholesale revolution in our approach.

Hadn't seen that ad for a while. You'd think 3 would be doing their best to disassociated themselves with the manager at this point?

"It's Green or go to bench"

(I'm glad Trap he never got round to picking Bench)

I have been supporting my country since i was a young kid in the early 80's and if we lose tonight this really is rock bottom

Is that really what we're reduced to? It's ok for Ireland to be consistently awful because Sweden struggled to victory in one particular game?

Panel clutching at straws to find positives..

Reality Check: We're 0-0 against a part-time team without any real indication we're going to win comfortably unless we:

    a) get lucky

    b) they get tired

Even if we do win, that's a disgrace imo

    I disagree.

We'd still be watching O'Shea hoofing it and Walters galloping around barging into defenders next spring against Sweden and Austria in that scenario.

We NEED a disaster tonight. Consign everything we think we know about "heart" and "passion" to the dustbin.
