    Hi,

I'm looking for a Ruby on Rails developer for some advice.

I'm a beginner, but I want to build an event list, much like this: http://www.songkick.com/

    except with simpler functionality.

Essentially, you can change location and view gigs chronologically. I would also want to filter gigs by category, only showing some music genre or comedy or theatre, for example.

Each gig would have a title(band name) and a location.

Is there some Rails open-sourced project where you can generate an event list? Its basically just a vertical calendar, but on the sites I've found I can't see any. Would a Rails dev be able to point me to some other resources or websites?

    Cheers,
    C
