When Michalaek is on form he really is good. 16-6 to France now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,637 ✭✭✭CoDy1

Some great offloading in the tackle fropm France in the 4 or 5 plays before the drop goal. Ball was like a hot potatoe but they made about 25 yards with really skillful pop ball in the tackle. Great to watch a team with skill like that.

Fra are looking very well coached, especially in their covering defense.

Nyanga ( Or NYANGERRRR if youre a headcase of a setanta commentator) has been fantastic the past few months. New lease of life, i want some of what he's smoking in his old age!

Picamoles acceleration and changeof direction for being such a monster is unreal aswell - main reason I backed France tonight was him playing, along with revenge, and the game down in Argentina.

How he changed direction there was phenomenal at full pelt, and kept his speed up.

    Some athlete

When the French play, they play bloody well.

yes very smooth , just gliding across the field , true French rugby which is cracking if it's not against Ireland :D

lads if you have a few quid laying around back france for the 6 nations before it shortens - 3rd favourite and we've been banging on about it since June on site.

Wont be thrid favourite come 12 tonight

hard to believe Parra is only 23!!!

Woah, ESPN commentators: 'Nyanga rolling around like a football player'... Did they see the tackle? Lucky for either of them to still be on the field.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,930 ✭✭✭duckysauce

    that was red

Why don't the rules allow for TMO, to at least identify the number jeez. That was a horrific tackle!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,681 ✭✭✭✭P_1

Good reffing by Owens there in fairness, if they don't have the number they can't send anyone off.

If that was the AP they could've used the TMO to get the number though

How do you say SWARM in French?

    LE SWARM!!

England are out to third now

Definite citing on the way there! Has there not been some new trial law brought in to give the TMO a say in situations like that or have I got that completely wrong?

I put it up in a few previews in the summer, and started an international thread in August. Waiting on the balance back after this game, and im sticking at least a ton on it - good win on this -3 tonight will pay for it.

Biggest bet i made in a while on this french game, was a bit annoyed at myself after placing all today's winnings but you have to go with your gut at times

    ITaly away
    Wales at home
    England away
    Ireland away
    Scotland at home.

    Dont see many problems

I think the TMO's need to be given permission to use common sense in certain cases if they think its more the likely a try was scored een if they cant see it.

It was obious Australia scored there but because he could'nt see the ball touch the ground he did'nt give it.

what is the story with the commentators ??? free beer allowance ?

Best game of the internationals today, atleast in terms of skill. I think Australia were made look worse than they were though.

Great to see what it meant to the French players, even though they destroyed Australia comfortable they were totally committed til the final whistle. One of the best 80 minutes I've seen from an international test team tbh.

    Seriously well coached side...

home match in the Aviva looks nice , going to be there :D

Surely Deans will get the chop soon? But I don't see how things will change if he does. I just don't think Australia have the forwards anymore

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 647 ✭✭✭dropkickrugby

was a big aussie pack but the french wsnt it more- revenge is a great thing.

Deans will surely go along with Kidney within 6 months.

Kidney wont go before the 6 nations but it would be great if he did - wste of a championship if he stays

I don't get it though, Deans had Aus playing sublime rugby pre-RWC in the Tri-Nations. What's changed in a year?

Huge amount of injuries played a big part.

I hope the French put up the same type of performance next week against Argentina

thing about Australia is. if they can somehow find a front row between now and next Summer they'll be a lot stronger with the likes of JOC, Ione, Genia and Pocock back in the team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Good on the Argies, my favourite player Lobbe MOTM too.

I saw France-Oz, no surprise to see Michalak dominate. He's been excellent in the Top14.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,656 ✭✭✭cgpg5

Watched Argies Wales, Arg were like a team possessed in the second half had so much more heart and will to win than Wales.

Wales lacked real leadership out on the pitch and I've seen it alluded to earlier in the thread but Warburton 's lack of form is reminding me of Ryan Jones 4 years back. On current form not alone should he not make the team but frankly he shouldn't tour.

Wales have to pick Tipuric next week

I hope so, and Biggar. Tipuric is potentially the best B&I openside flanker imo.

And Horwill. They have missed him big-time this year.

As he was for the Natal Shorks. That was a right thrashing France dished out to Aussie, it was joy seeing them back to Gallic flare, long may it continue. If only NZ were playing France next week, and not Italy. Sigh. Would love a RWC replay...

Is Biggar not out injured? Thought that was why he wasn't picked at all (if fit im sure he would have gotten the bench spot.)
