Over the counter cash query

I have a US issued Visa debit card. I recently tried to take an over the counter cash advance in BOi DUndrum but was told I could not do this. As my card is a Visa branded product are BOI not obliged to facilitate my request under the Visa rules. Thanks

Hi janet mahony,

As the debit card you have is not a Bank of Ireland card, we would not be able to provide a cash advance over the counter in a branch. You can withdraw money from any atm machine with your pin.
