Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nicolas Bendtner fined £80,000 for advertising his lucky pants after scoring at the Euro's.

This is the same Organisation that fined the Spanish F.A, Croatian F.A and FC Porto a combined total of £71,700 for racism

    Absolute disgrace that is!

Ah come on now, there's racial abuse and then there's showing your "lucky pants", he should have went to jail for that!

From today's edition of 'Mediawatch' on Football365.com:
    Your Move
Here's a statement released by then-Serbia president Boris Tadic's press office in February 2011, after a game between Italy and Serbia was called off because of a riot during the game.

'Michel Platini told Serbia's president it was UEFA's position that the Serbian national team and the country's clubs would be expelled from all European competition if its hooligans continued with their violent and criminal behaviour.'

    Your move, Michel.

Interesting to see what they will do after last night

Incidents of racism in the Med and especially in Eastern Europe are so frequent now that punishing them to that extent would cripple some of the clubs in Croatia, Serbia, Russia etc.

Whereas Bendtner is a bag of d*cks, and Paddy Power are opportunistic, avaricious *****.

UEFA are far more interested in sponsorship and revenue than they are with the tiny things in life like Racism and Match fixing

Serbia need to be kicked out of international football for 2 years starting thsi month - both U21 and the Senior side.
They have habitually caused this sort of trouble - not least what they did in Genoa a few years ago.
What I saw on tele last night was shameful - but hardly a surprise.
Kick them out of everything now for 2 years and warn their clubs that anything even remotely like what happened last night willr esult in them going for 2 years as well.

I guess they need to offset the money he received for advertising when they fine him for it, or it misses the point a bit.

If UEFA had fined Denmark £80000 because one of their fans had worn their lucky pants (which just happened to coincidentally advertise a bookmakers) then there might be some validity in the comparision.

Otherwise its really just a case of apples and oranges.

    UEFA are a joke, yes.

Will anything remotely severe happen to Serbia, no, I dont think.

Although I think they should face sanctions. Maybe play their home games in a neutral venue with no home support for the rest of this campaign and the the next Euro's campaign.
