Another boiler question F5 error on Glow worm 18si

Hi everyone, wondering if somebody might be able to help me with this? Our glow worm 18si is showing an F5 error message. It starts to boot up, but the pilot light doesn't come on and the error message then flashes. I had a look on the Internet and apparently this is caused by a temperature overheat and requires the temperature reset button to be pressed. I've taken off the covers but can't find anything that looks like a temp reset button. Can anyone help?

    UPDATE: Charlesland survives.

If anyone gets an F5 error. Reset the thermostat switch!

    1. Turn off power switch.

    2. remove left and right screws from white bottom front panel of boiler with a flat head screwdriver and lift panel up and off.

    3. Remove next silver panel by removing screws.

    4. Remove smaller silver panel if needs be. (i.e. you may be able to get to the button without removing this)

    5. You are looking for a thermostat reset button. It is on a pipe on the right hand sight, very well hidden about the centre of the boiler.

    6. I managed to press the wee nipple on the reset button with a phase tester and it worked. ps. I did this with the boiler on, but not recommended!

ps. I call Durkans foreman who told me that ther was nothing he could do because I am here over a year and I shoudl have had the boiler serviced. Very helpful! I think he was the same one who mocked someone when they referred to advise from an electrician posted on the boards. I've found the boards much more helpful than Durkans sadly!

Is your piping above the boiler ok? Ours was faulty for 5 bloody years and we never knew. Could have died from carbon monoxide poisoning

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
