Laptops in hte rain

Hi there,

I am trying to find something for a totally unrelated task that will involve using a laptop in the rain.

I know you are probably thinking, but this is a photography forum, but you see whenever I am doing photograpy work for the college newspaper I always head home and upload my photos from there, however I always see photogrpaher, especially sports photographers taking out their laptop at half time or whenever to send in photos.

What would you guys use as a cover to protect the laptop, realistically I am looking for a laptop cover the fits snugly around my laptop, however allows my to use the keyboard and mouse, and seals out the weather. Have any of you guys used a product like this??? If so where did you get it, they can't be found anywhere.

In the rain we use the most simplest of items. A plastic bag or a coat. Works for us as it keeps everything dry.

Bit expensive. Plastic bag or coat won't work for me unfortuantly, but I'm looking at taking the laptop out to sea, not sitting at the side of a football pitch etc. so the need doesn't exactly match up

Try Think Tank to see if they have anything that would suit. I know they do some sort of covers.
