Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dying a jacket/Adding dye to Barbour Wax?

    Hi all,

I am currently trying to dye a mack-type jacket (originally that creamish-yellowish mack colour) medium to dark brown. The fabric is polyester and cotton. I have used Dylon "Woodland Brown" twice on it, and while it has taken to an extent, it has not taken fully (due to material type). It is now somewhere between brown and tan.

I am thinking of waxing the jacket with Barbour Thornproof wax (It's a halloween costume, and I don;t mind about an inconsistent finish), but I am not sure what the results will be. What type of dye would be the best to add to the wax when melted to achieve a further darkening of the brown tones?

    Thanks if anyone can help...
